Q: Who is eligible to join Bay Media?
A: All employees of San Francisco Chronicle, Chronicle Publishing Company, Hearst Corporation, KRON TV, other groups, and family members including parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and adopted children. Please contact Member Services to check eligibility of your group.



Q: How long does it take to process my membership application?
A: Your application for membership can be processed while you wait!



Q: Do you have checking accounts?
A: Yes, we have three different kinds of checking accounts. Debit cards are available to qualified applicants.



Q: Do you have CDs?
A: Yes, we have CDs as well as Money Markets and IRAs, at competitive rates.



Q: How long does it take to have a loan approved?
A: All loan applications are processed and the applicant is notified within 24 hours.



Q: What kind of loans do you offer?
A: We offer loans for auto both new and used, motorcycles, RVs, boats, and HELOCs (Home Equity Line Of Credit), Shared Secured Loans, Signature Loans, Over Draft Line Of Credit, and VISA Credit Card.



Q: Once I become a member, how long before I can apply for a loan?
A: You can apply for a loan 24 hours after your membership application is processed.



Q: How does a credit union work?
A: A credit union is owned by its members. Unlike banks which rely on profitability, credit unions are non-profit organizations that strive to provide service to its members/owners and do not answer to shareholders.



Q: Do you have direct deposit?
A: Yes, we process paychecks by direct deposit through your employer. You can also divide your deposit into different accounts automatically.



Q: Do you have credit cards?
A: Yes, we offer Visa® to qualified applicants.



Q: Can I make payments electronically?
A: Yes, we offer electronic payments for all loans as well as Visa® payments.
